Cornell Cooperative Extension has a variety of publications on horticultural topics relating to home landscape and gardens. Subject areas include soil, lawn, trees, fruit production, and the identification and control of weeds, disease, and insect pests.

Local resources

Tree Factsheets were created during the Community Forestry Education Project, conducted to identify common challenges and needs of trees. These on-line documents provide information on maintenance, hazard assessment and reduction, and responses to common problems of the urban forest. You can view the index of these documents within this site.

Commercial Horticultural Newsletter

This locally-produced newsletter is one of the benefits to members of our Ornamental Horticulture program. The seasonal publication reports on insect and plant disease probles affecting upstate NY, changes in pesticide application laws, an events calendar, and tips for small businesses. The periodical is available to all who join this commercial program.

You can view a sample copy of the newsletter as an Adobe Acrobat document.
